    Gulf of Alaska - The crew of a Kodiak-based HC-130 Hercules airplane crew deploys a data marker buoy to the vicinity of the derelict Japanese fishing vessel RYOU-UN MARU to help provide up to date position updates of the unmanned vessel March 31, 2012. The deployment of the buoy will provide essential position updates for Coast Guard command personnel to use in helping ensure the safety of maritime transportation operations in the area.
