HOUSTON - The Coast Guard medevaced a man from a container ship in the Houston Ship Channel, Wednesday.
Watchstanders at Sector Houston-Galveston received a report at 3:25 p.m. that a 20-year old male aboard the Box Voyager, a 750-foot container ship, had suffered some injuries to his hand and was in need of an immediate medical evacuation. Coast Guard Air Station Houston launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter and crew to the scene at 4:25 p.m. The crew successfully hoisted the man from the Box Voyager and transported him to awaiting emergency medical servces at UTMB Galveston.
