  • CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Coast Guard medevaced an 82-year old man from a sailing vessel approximately 17 miles south of Matagorda Bay, Friday.

Watchstanders at Sector Corpus Christi received a report at approximately 9 a.m., that an 82-year old man aboard the Cache, a 50-foot sailing vessel, suffered a head injury and required immediate medical assistance.

  • CORPUS CHRISTI - Three children and two adults were rescued, Thursday, when their boat capsized after taking on water, in the vicinity of the Packery Jetties, near Corpus Christi.

Coast Guard watchstanders from Sector Corpus Christi received a call at 9:07 a.m. from the Corpus Christi Police Department saying the captain of a 21-foot recreation boat had called them and reported that his boat capsized and the five people onboard were in need of assistance.
