SAN DIEGO -- Crews from Coast Guard Sector San Diego rescued three people after their 21-foot boat became disabled 27 miles southwest of San Diego Monday, Oct. 19, 2009.

An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew spotted the boaters in distress around 10 p.m., and a 33-foot rescue boat from Station San Diego was launched. The boat crew found the boaters experiencing severe sea sickness and dehydration, and transported them to Shelter Island, where they were transferred to Emergency Medical personnel in good condition.
