This Search and rescue exercise increases the collective interoperability between U.S. and Canada, ensuring we can successfully carry out our collective mission to conduct search and rescue operations in the arctic and surrounding areas.
Units from Alaska Air National Guard, Alaska Army National Guard, U.S. Army Alaska to include multiple helicopters, multiple versions of C-130 aircraft, C-17 aircraft and Para rescue personnel have participated in this exercise. Canadian Search and Rescue units to include a search and rescue helicopter, multiple versions of the C-130 aircraft and Search and Rescue personnel also participated.
