Philippine Navy Sailors with Naval Forces Southern Luzon (NAVFORSOL) and U.S. Navy Sailors with 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade (3d MEB), III Marine Expeditionary Force (III MEF) conduct a cooperative health engagement and community relations event at Victory Village South, Legazpi City, Province of Albay, Republic of the Philippines in order to assist and benefit the citizens of Legazpi City as part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014 (PHIBLEX 14). Members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and U.S. Marines and Sailors from 3d MEB, III MEF, are conducting humanitarian and civic assistance projects, which include engineering projects and cooperative health engagements, in Legazpi City as part of PHIBLEX 14. Humanitarian and civic assistance projects enable Philippines and U.S. military members to learn about each other's culture, train together, and improve interoperability while providing services to areas with identified need.
