This video is of the ongoing work at Coney Island, NY to place roughly 600,000 cubic yards of sand to help reduce risk of future storm damage. This restoration project will replace sand that was lost during Hurricane Sandy and restore Coney Island Beach to its original design profile from when the original risk reduction beach project was constructed in the 1990s.
