OCEANSIDE, Calif. – Marines with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, and 12th Marine District, support the Honor Bowl, a two-day high school football event here, Sept 6 and 7, 2013. Marines with 3rd Bn., 5th Marines, answered questions at a static display and were honored before the coin toss of the Saturday night game. Gold Star families with the battalion were escorted by service members onto the field as the guests of honor. Available in High Definition.

  • Marine Sgt. Jose Gonzales, of San Antonio, Texas, competed in the 2011 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 17. The Warrior Games are a paralympic-style competition for wounded, ill or injured service members. Gonzales was wounded during his 2005 tour to Iraq with 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines Regiment. The Uvalde High School graduate swept the competition by winning four gold medals. Includes interview with Wounded Warrior Regiment All-Marine Team track and field coach and Olympic athlete, Victor Plata, who speaks about the enthusiasm and leadership of Marine veteran Sgt.
