Renewable energy is a major focus for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It reduces greenhouse emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. The Corps is using alternative energy like biofuel, wind power, solar and geothermal. This renewable energy mix will provide 25 percent of the electricity used by the Corps. This next report takes us to San Fransisco where biofuel is powering a Corps vessel. http://www.usace.army.mil/Missions/Sustainability/GoingGreenCampaign.aspx
