The National Guard Association of the United States presented North Carolina Gov. Beverly Eaves Perdue with the Charles Dick Medal of Merit Monday, Nov. 19, 2012. The award is presented to elected officials for outstanding support to the National Guard. Maj. Gen. (Ret) Gus Hargett, NGAUS president, and Maj. Gen.
