The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District opened the spillway gates at Garrison Dam on June 1, 2011, to pass floodwaters for the first time. A routine inspection during the start up procedure identified a spray of water. The project operations manager for Garrison Dam, Todd Lindquist, explains what caused the spray and how the Corps addressed it. Video by Kevin Wingert, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District.
