The Marine Corps, in partnership with Junior Rank, has gathered 100
elite high school athletes to compete in the inaugural Semper Fidelis
All-American Bowl. Here's a look at some of the sights and sounds from
the week leading up to the Semper Fidelis Bowl along with players talking about what it means to them.
These athletes have been chosen from across the country in an East
versus West showdown taking place at Chase Field in Phoenix, Ariz.,
Jan. 3, 2012. The athletes have shown what it takes to be the nation's
top football stars and have spent the week preparing for the bowl and
strengthening their core values through interactions with Marines. In
addition to the bowl, hundreds of other younger athletes have
increased their skill and tested themselves at the USMC Proving Ground
Combine, working to earn a spot in future Semper Fidelis Bowl games.
Watch the game free at Chase Stadium in Phoenix or Live on CBS Sports
Network starting at 6 p.m. EST.
