Joint Multinational Readiness Center

Since July 2006, a Romanian American battle group formed, trained and deployed in support of the ISAF mission in Afghanistan. This battle group was comprised of a Romanian battalion and one company from the 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry regiment from from the Joint Multinational Readiness Center. Over the past four years, the partnership between JMRC and the Romanian Land Forces has aided the Romanian's in developing and enhancing their own Combat Training Center in Cincu, Romania. Romanian senior leaders recognized the importance and the positive impact of having their own training center and looked to JMRC as a model to enhance their program. Since 2008, JMRC has committed a multifunctional team consisting of observers and controllers, staff OC's and Opposing Forces (OPFOR) experts that deploy to the Cincu Training Center to augment their mission readiness exercises.
