On June 14, the Army’s 236th Birthday got off to a running start at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calf. The days’ celebrations started with an emphasis on Army fitness with a Walk Bike Run event held with the rising sun in the picturesque hills around the Cantonment area.

The Mud Run is a great opportunity for some good ole clean “dirty” fun. It is a running course consisting of six miles of paved roads, dirt trails, water hazards and four mud pits that everyone gets to cross. This year there were over 2,000 participants and several different divisions to compete in.
