The largest United States naturalization ceremony to be held overseas took place April 12 at the Al Faw palace.
Timmonsville’s very own Joseph R. Allen, the command sergeant major for the 18th Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, N.C., is currently serving in the highest enlisted position at the Multi-National Corps - Iraq, at Camp Victory, Iraq.
The XVIII Airborne Corps Special Troops Battalion performed their last pre-deployment jump, Jan. 15, at Sicily drop zone on Fort Bragg - heading out the door of a C130 high-performance aircraft before heading to Baghdad.
