Operation Back to School brings Soldiers, Iraqi army, children together
A combined effort between Soldiers, Airmen and the Iraqi army at Camp Taji, Iraq, brought much-needed school supplies to young Iraqi school children Oct. 7 at Al Abar Primary School – the first in a string of humanitarian efforts called Operation Back to School.

MRAP rollover training simulator saves lives
According to Army statistics, 144 non-hostile related Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle rollover incidents were reported from Nov. 1, 2007, through March 31, 2008. U.S. service members increasingly use the MRAP in combat because of its ability to withstand improvised explosive devices. However, because of growing concern about the MRAP's susceptibility to roll, the MRAP Egress Trainer was designed and is currently being fielded in Afghanistan.

Arizona's quarry platoon crushes Sand Castle 2009 goal
Many Soldiers have stories of working hard outside in the elements and at the end of the day they were dirty beyond belief. For the Soldiers of 259th Quarry Platoon, of the 253rd Engineer Battalion, Arizona National Guard, getting dirty is a way of life whether deployed overseas or here at the National Training Center.
