CAMP RIPLEY, Minn. – The second annual Post Commander’s Holiday Greeting brought a free catered meal by Domino’s Pizza to Camp Ripley employees Dec. 11, 2012. To thank all the employees for their support, local business owner Shane Cole donated 152 pizzas.

“This is just my way of giving back to those that give so much to our state and country,” said Cole.

Domino’s Pizza of Little Falls, maintains a strong tie to Camp Ripley, as the installation made up more than 50% of its sales last year. In July of 2012 the Little Falls Domino’s Pizza had the largest single day of Domino’s sales in the United States due in large part to orders from Camp Ripley.

“We treasure the relationships we maintain with local businesses, because without them, Camp Ripley would not be able to maintain the level of service that our military and civilian customers expect,” said Camp Ripley Post Commander Army Col. Scott St. Sauver.

Domino’s is one of a number of local businesses that support Camp Ripley’s employees. Each year Coburn’s Superstore and Perkins Restaurant cater the Camp Ripley Holiday Party. During the 40th Annual Norwegian Exchange in 2013 a “Taste of Central Minnesota” dinner will include local foods from A.T. Black and White and The Falls Ballroom in Little Falls, Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd, Prairie Bay Restaurant in Baxter, The Farm on St. Mathias and The Olde Creamery Cafe in Rice.

Camp Ripley extends a thank you to all the businesses that support the Soldiers, Veterans and military families that live in central Minnesota. “We are able to do the work we do, because of the support we enjoy from our great community partners,” said Post Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Worden.
