MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – The 1st Marine Logistics Group Beast football team dominated again with a 56-0 victory over 1st Radio Battalion Freqs here, Sept. 17.
The Beast is still undefeated with a 6-0 record.
During the first quarter against the Freqs, the Beast scored 21 unanswered points with two running touchdowns by running back Thaddaeus Haney. The Beast also returned an interception for a touchdown.
In the second quarter, the Beast added a fourth touchdown when fullback Eddie Morefield ran for a touchdown for a 28-0 lead.
Before halftime, the Beast scored again on a reverse run by #4 to make the score 35-0.
In the third quarter, the Beast went up 41-0 when Beast quarterback Matthew Petree completed a touchdown pass to wide receiver Luke Boyd.
In the fourth quarter, Haney ran for his third touchdown of the day for a commanding 48-0.
Before the end of the game, running back Jay Winters ran the ball for a touchdown to make the final score 54-0.
The Beast plays its next game against the Weapons Field Training Battalion Raiders, Sept. 24, at the 11-Area football field at 7:30 p.m.
