News: Afghan National Army’s 215th Corps Operational Update

HELMAND PROVINCE, Afghanistan — While conducting clearance operations in the Marja district, Helmand province, Wednesday, June 6, the 3rd Battalion of the 215th ANA Corps captured two suspects along with seven motorcycles and 171,360 Pakistani Rupees which were handed over to the Security Forces in Marja district after a thorough investigation. Also during patrol in Grishk district, 15 different types of mines were discovered and defused.
On Thursday, June 7, a total of 400 soldiers from the 179th Battalion of the Sahawi Training Center graduated. 50 soldiers graduated from driving courses, 50 from medic courses, and 300 from literacy courses. Also, 22 Afghan soldiers of the 215th Maiwand Corps received certificates after completing a 6-week training course in driving and the use of Russian and NATO weapons.
