News: Days of Remembrance event

MIAMI - U.S. Southern Command will be hosting a Days of Remembrance event, Friday, April 20 at 10 a.m. in its Doral conference center.
The event, titled "The Holocaust and the Road to Genocide" is presented in conjunction with the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.
Hosted by SOUTHCOM Military Deputy Commander, Vice Adm. Joseph Kernan, the commemoration is scheduled to include a 30-minute presentation by Holocaust survivor, Henry Greenbaum.
The event is the first of its kind since Aug., 2011, when President Obama directed the U.S. interagency community to develop methods to recognize and prevent mass atrocities and human rights violations.
