MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERRY POINT, N.C. — While many Marines here aboard the air station are maintaining and operating supporting forces, Sgt. Alfred Barbarin is tucked away in a corner of the air station, working hard to build ordinance for pilots in support of air and ground operations.
"I love my job," said Barbarin. "I get to build missiles, bombs and rockets. It's a good feeling to know that I'm building things that are going to help Marines do their job."
Even thought his job has its ups and downs, Barbarin says that there is nothing that he can't handle.
"I wouldn’t say that my job is simple, but I've been doing it so long that it is like second nature to me," he said.
Even though Barbarin enjoys what he does, he feels he is no different from any other Marine.
"I don’t do anything really amazing, I come to work ready to go every day, just like every other Marine," he said.
