News: Contracts awarded to repair flood damage

KANSAS CITY, Mo.— The Kansas City District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded two more contracts to repair flood damage to levees along the Missouri River.
A contract was awarded to Ideker, Inc. of St. Joseph, Mo., Jan. 23, for approximately $722,000 to repair the Wakenda Levee in Carroll County, Mo.
A contract was awarded to ECI Contracting Corp of Kansas City, Mo., Jan. 30, for approximately $1.2 million to repair the Rushville-Sugarlake Levee in Buchanan and Platte counties.
A total of three contracts have been awarded in the lower Missouri River Basin to date to repair flood damages from 2011 flooding.
