KABUL, Afghanistan – An individual wearing an Afghan National Army uniform turned his weapon against two International Security Assistance Forces service members in eastern Afghanistan today, killing both service members. ISAF is investigating the incident.

It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.

  • Mohammad Zamir Faizi, at to Special Forces Command, joined the Afghan National Security Forces because he felt a sense of duty to defend his land. Faizi had an interest in being part of Afghanistan’s elite Special Forces team ,since some of his family members and friends died defending this country.
