ATLANTA - The Atlanta Personnel Assistance Point held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Dec. 16, 2011. The ceremony commemorated PAP’s move from the Atlanta Airport atrium to the new ticket counter location in the North terminal directly across from exterior door N4. The move was prompted to more conveniently assist service members of all branches in their leave travel to and from deployments.
Third Medical Deployment Support Command’s CHP Craig Pache gave the benediction, and Ms. Melanie Jackson sang a beautiful rendition of the national anthem. Mr. Balram “B” Bheodari, the interim deputy aviation general manager, helped welcome soldiers through the new service point. Airport by-standers stopped to show support with cheers as Maj. Brown, Sgt. Maj. Legier, and Mr. Bheodari cut the ribbon. Cake and punch was served to guests in the PAP office at the conclusion of the ceremony.
