FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - World Wrestling Entertainment continued its support for the U.S. military with a visit to North Carolina National Guard Armory in Fayetteville, N.C., today. More than 50 Recruit Sustainment Program cadets, soldiers, friends and family were treated to a one-of-a-kind visit.

Three WWE superstars and one diva took part in the visit which was part of the WWE’s “Tribute to the Troops” event.

Recruit Sustainment Program non-commissioned officer in charge Master Sgt. G Jerry Polston, of B Company, 1st Platoon, took WWE visitors on a tour of the Fayetteville Armory and in and out of the student’s classrooms.

Polston asked the students of they had any questions for the superstars.

One student replied to superstar Mark Henry, “I just want to know how much you bench press, that’s all.“ After some laughter, Henry responded.

“I could probably do 500 to 550 lbs,” he said. “But there’s no reason to because nobody we work with is that big. Even Big Show isn’t that big.”

After the tour, the superstars got a look at the live training conducted at the Fayetteville Armory for the cadets.

It began with physical training. Hornswoggle, one of the superstars, had a little fun and joined the cadets.

“Sergeant has put me to test today with the push-ups and PT, and I failed,” he said. “But hey, there’s always next time. But everyone has been very thankful that we’ve come here, but it’s actually us that’s thankful, to show them how much we appreciate what they do for our country.

Then they moved on to a land navigation course. Jinder Mahal, one of the superstars, followed the cadets into the woods.

“Being in Fayetteville has been a tremendous experience,” said Jinder Mahal. Meeting everybody from the new recruits, to guys who are getting ready to deploy. It’s been an overall great experience and it’s great to meet the people that provide us our freedom.”

Everyone gathered around at the end and went back in the drill hall floor for an autograph session for the cadets. They talked to the cadets a bit about the "Tribute to the Troops" event Sunday night at the Crown Arena.

“I love the ‘Tribute to the Troops’,” said Henry. “If I was not on the 'Tribute to the Troops,' I would ask to. Anybody in the company, I’ve never heard anyone say they don’t want to do this.”

It was a great way for the superstars to say thank you to the military. The WWE also continued its partnership with the National Guard.

The partnership with the National Guard, while it's national, it’s really based on working with the states one by one really allowing them to take advantage of a bunch of assets,” said director of integrated sales, Alex Leiter. “We really appreciate the opportunity to be here. It’s just our little way of saying thanks.”

“This is really awesome for WWE to recognize our warriors, as well as our soldiers here today, said Lt. Col. Maury Williams, recruiting and retention battalion commander for the North Carolina National Guard. “It’s value added, as far as the job that our Soldiers do each and every day. To be recognized by WWE is quite an honor and we’re just happy to be here today.”
