FORT HOOD, Texas -- On Thursday, Dec. 8, the 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command will deploy the first group of soldiers in support of their unique tasking in Afghanistan. Approximately half of the current staff will be deploying to train senior logistics leaders of the Afghan National Security Forces in support of the NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan. This is the first time a logistics unit of this echelon will deploy with an advisory mission. Media interested covering the deployment ceremony Thursday evening should contact Capt.
