FORT BELVOIR, Va. -- Defense Logistics Agency Director Navy Vice Adm. Alan Thompson has selected Navy Rear Adm. Patricia Wolfe as the new DLA Joint Reserve Force director.
Wolfe is currently serving as commander of the Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group in Williamsburg, Va.
As the DLA Joint Reserve Force director, Wolfe will be responsible for managing DLA’s available workforce of military reserve personnel and providing the agency with a trained, ready and available force for contingency operations, operational support, surge support and contingency planning.
The admiral said she is excited to be joining the DLA team and is “looking forward to being part of the global missions that support our warfighters at home and in harm's way."
She previously served in a number of command and other leadership assignments and has been recalled to active duty numerous times. Her active duty assignments have included support of operations Desert Storm, Sea Signal, Restore Democracy and Enduring Freedom, where she first served at the U.S. Central Command’s Strategic Movement Center. Most recently she was activated as deputy commander of Combined Task Force 56 and the Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group Forward at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
Wolfe, a native of New Jersey, graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in general science in 1981. She received her commission through the Villanova Navy ROTC program
