KABUL, Afghanistan – An Afghan and coalition combined security force captured a Taliban facilitator and one suspected insurgent during a security operation in Nahr-e Saraj District, Helmand province.

The facilitator was responsible for organizing and executing attacks against Afghan and coalitions force in Marjeh and Nahr-e-Seraj Districts. He also provided resources to other Taliban insurgents in the area.

North

A combined Afghan and coalition security force detained two suspected insurgents during a security search for a Taliban leader in Pul-e Khumri District, Baghlan province.

The leader directs a group of fighters in conducting roadside bomb attacks against Afghan National Security Forces.

In Almar District, Faryab province, the security force detained one individual with suspected ties to the Taliban.

South
