KABUL, Afghanistan – A combined Afghan and coalition security force killed one insurgent and detained multiple suspected insurgents during a security operation in Archi District, Kunduz province, yesterday.

The security force, led by Afghan security force members, was in the area searching for the Taliban-appointed governing official for operations in the district. The leader is also responsible for a roadside bomb and suicide attack network that targets Afghan government officials.
