    FORT HOOD, Texas - Fort Hood officials have released the name of a soldier who died June 10 from injuries in a motorcycle accident in Belton, Texas.

    Spc. Cole Leslie Chambers, 23, whose home of record is listed as Tomball, Texas, entered active-duty service in July 2006 as a cavalry scout. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, since July 2010.

    Cole deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in September 2007.

    Cole's awards and decorations include an Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Combat Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Combat Action Badge.
