BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota National Guard's 957th Engineer Company (Multi-Role Bridge Company) will conduct field training exercises at Kimball Bottoms south of Bismarck beginning Saturday, May 14 at 7 a.m., with training ending approximately Sunday, May 15 at 12 p.m.
The Kimball Bottoms area will be closed to the public for safety reasons; however, the Missouri River in the vicinity will not be closed. Boaters are advised to use extra caution when moving through the area on the river. The unit will help alert area visitors to ensure public safety.
The training will include rafting exercises to include assembling a ribbon raft on the Missouri River. There will be large military vehicles and various engineer equipment driving throughout the entire Kimball Bottoms area.
The N.D. National Guard is asking the public to be aware of the training activities near Kimball Bottoms and use extreme caution due to increased vehicle and boat traffic and military operations. These precautions are being taken in order to help ensure public safety. The public's cooperation and understanding is appreciated.
