SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- AMC Public Affairs recently announced the winners of its 2010 Public Affairs Media Contest Awards. These annual awards recognize individuals and organizations who demonstrate excellence in telling the Air Force and AMC story through various public affairs processes and products, including print and broadcast journalism, photography, video, graphics and web design.

  • In six months Staff Sgt. Ryan Stoks expedited more than 413 missions and moved more than 18 million pounds of cargo to set new aerial port expeditor records for Air Mobility Command and the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing.
  • The North Dakota Army National Guard received more print media awards than any other state in the 2009 National Guard Bureau Media Contest. Winners were announced March 11 and Air Force Master Sgt. Greg Rudl, contest administrator, said North Dakota took the lead with eight awards. The North Dakota Air National Guard excelled in the Air Force photography categories, coming out with four awards.
  • A photojournalist with the 182nd Airlift Wing was awarded Outstanding New Photographer for the Air National Guard Feb. 3 for his work submitted to the National Guard Bureau Media Contest.
  • Gen. Paul J. Selva, Air Mobility Command commander, explored Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, June 11-13, 2013, during an immersion tour designed to show him the multitude of missions at the joint base.
