KUNDUZ, Afghanistan – German Minister of Foreign Affairs Guido Westerwelle visited the governor of Kunduz province and German troops at Provincial Reconstruction Team Kunduz on Jan. 10.
During his visit, Westerwelle met with Gov. Mohammed Dschagdalek and Commander, ISAF Regional Command North, German Army Maj. Gen. Hans-Werner Fritz to speak about the current operations in Kunduz. Following the meeting, Westerwelle and Dschagdalek held a joint press conference for Afghan and international media.
Westerwelle also took time to speak with German troops assigned to PRT Kunduz before departing for Germany.
