LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Kentucky National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion hosted its annual symposium for soldiers eligible for reenlistment at the Galt House Feb. 5.

“This weekend has been a great opportunity to highlight the benefits, incentives and support for the soldiers of the Kentucky National Guard,” said 1st Lt. Aaron Isaacs, operations officer for 2nd Brigade 75th RR. “It just shows why this is such a great organization to be a part of.”

More than 130 soldiers from across the Commonwealth participated in this year’s symposium. More than 30 reenlisted.

Soldiers along with their spouses received information about reenlistment incentives, educational opportunities and VA benefits, among others, as reasons to re-enlist.

“I charge each of you to take a moment to remember why you joined the Guard,” said Lt. Col. Tammy Hurst, RR commander, speaking to the soldiers. “Re-energize your love and appreciation for this great organization, you are the National Guard.”
