KABUL, Afghanistan – Seven Afghan civilians were killed when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in Arghandab district, Zabul province, today.

“Our thoughts are with the families of the victims at this difficult time, said U.S. Air Force Col. Charles Toplikar, ISAF Joint Command Combined Joint Operations Center director. “This is a senseless attack on innocent Afghan civilians using indiscriminate weapons. The Afghan National Security Forces and ISAF remain committed to protecting the lives of Afghan civilians, by finding and disposing of these indiscriminate weapons.”
