News: Force pursues Taliban facilitator in Paktiya overnight

KABUL - Afghan and coalition forces detained two suspected insurgents in Paktiya province Wednesday while in pursuit of a Taliban facilitator for small and medium weapons and improvised explosive device materials.
The facilitator is also involved in coordinating future attacks in Paktiya province that threaten the safety of the population.
Acting on intelligence tips, Afghan and coalition forces targeted a compound in the village of Batan Kheyl in Gardez district to search for the facilitator. Afghan and coalition forces used a loudspeaker to call for all occupants to exit the compound peacefully and then secured the area.
After initial questioning at the scene, the security force detained the suspected insurgents.
The security force did not fire their weapons and they protected the women and children for the duration of the search.
