MUSA QA'LEH, Afghanistan — The senior leadership from the Afghan national army and police, along with the commanding officer of regimental combat team 2, assembled for a reflagging ceremony held at the district center of Musa Qal'eh, April 2, commemorating their partnership in providing security for the people of Musa Qal'eh.
The reflagging ceremony was hosted by Col. Rasoul, commanding officer of 3rd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 215th Corps. The guest of honor for the ceremony was Brig. Gen. Abdul Wasea, commanding general of 2nd Brigade, 215th Corps, who attended the flag ceremony with Col. Paul J. Kennedy, commander of Regimental Combat Team 2. Also in attendance was Col. Koka, district chief of police of Musa Qa'leh.
Following the ceremony the commanders shared a feast with the elders of Musa Qa'leh, to discuss their future plans in providing security for the local Afghans, and to synchronize their efforts with the needs of the people living throughout the district.
Partnering together and working hand-in-hand, the Afghan national army and police will continue to provide security for the Afghan people, doing exactly what it takes to maintain security for their population and set the conditions for the local Afghan leadership to encourage economic development and growth within Musa Qa'leh.
