CAMP PHOENIX, Afghanistan — Task Force Cyclone leaders assumed command operations of the Kabul Base Cluster at a ceremony at Camp Phoenix, Afghanistan, April 12.

The Task Force's commander, Brig. Gen. Lonnie Culver, spoke at the event about the change in mission and how the Soldiers will work hard their remaining days in Afghanistan.

"Everything we do for the next three months is to provide support to our military and to improve conditions of the 11 posts," said Culver. "We had great accomplishments at Bagram, but we won't rest on our laurels, because there is still plenty of work to do. I expect great things from each of you as we start the final stretch of our tour."

Task Force Cyclone's new mission as the Kabul Base Cluster Area Support Group is to provide the installation capabilities and services to support expeditionary operations to 11 military posts in the Kabul area.
