III Corps and Fort Hood host annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony

FORT HOOD, Texas - The III Corps Commanding General Lt. Gen. Sean MacFarland will host the III Corps Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 2 at the III Corps Headquarters flagpole here.

The commander will be joined by the Killeen High School Mad Jazz Choir, Smith Middle School Choir, Fort Hood Family Housing Children's Choir and the 1st Cavalry Division Band.

Children and parents can have their free photo taken with Santa and have it printed on the spot, giving everyone something special to take away from the event.

Media who plan to cover the ceremony must register here. The gate time for the event is 4:30 p.m. Media should report to the south-side parking lot of the visitor's center.
