    Coast Guard rescues man at night after personal watercraft disabled, communication lost

    HOUSTON — A man was located and rescued by a Coast Guard Air Station Houston crew Wednesday night in the marsh off Jones Bay, near Bayou Vista, Texas.

    The missing man had been in contact with Sea Tow on his mobile phone after his personal watercraft became disabled, but they lost contact with him and were unable to locate him. Sea Tow personnel contacted Coast Guard Sector Houston/Galveston watchstanders to report the situation at 6:55 p.m. They launched the aircrew in an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter to locate and rescue him.

    The aircrew located him at 8:10 p.m. and took him to Scholes International Airport in Galveston where they were met by EMS. The man was in stable condition and didn't have any reported injuries.
