FORT HOOD, Texas – U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal technicians from the 752nd EOD Company honed their water survival skills during a training session here.

The Combat Water Survival Training ensured that the Soldiers have the confidence and ability to survive in the water with their gear.

The EOD troops practiced water proofing their rucksacks and turning them into floatation devices at the Fort Hood post swimming pool.

The 752nd EOD Company is part of the 79th EOD Battalion, 71st EOD Group, 20th CBRNE Command (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives), the Department of Defense’s only formation that combats chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive hazards around the globe.

Headquartered on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, 20th CBRNE Soldiers and civilians train and operate with allied, interagency and joint partners around the world to counter Weapons of Mass Destruction, eliminate CBRNE threats and defeat improvised explosive devices.
