PHOENIX, (October 1, 2014) – Marine Corps Recruiting Station Phoenix is excited to announce the selection of Semper Fidelis All-American, Caleb Peart, defensive end for Hamilton High School. Arizona Marines will recognize Peart with a jersey presentation at Hamilton H.S. before his team’s rival matchup versus Chandler H.S., Oct. 2, 2014.

The presentation will be conducted at 6:40 p.m. just before kickoff. The Semper Fidelis Football Program is unique because it brings together the nation’s best and brightest high school football players from across the country, who demonstrate success both on and off the gridiron.

“We’re excited to give these players the spotlight,” said Lt. Col. Raphael Hernandez, assistant chief of staff for advertising, Marine Corps Recruiting Command. “In addition to being talented football players, these men are high academic performers and leaders in their communities, the type of individuals we want to recognize.”

Semper Fidelis All-Americans are selected for being among the top-rated high school football players in the nation; however, the selection process is also dedicated to choosing players based on their character, academic performance and leadership. The Semper Fidelis Football Program demonstrates the Marine Corps’ commitment to developing quality citizens and reinforces its core values of honor, courage and commitment.

This is the second consecutive year Hamilton has had a Semper Fidelis All-American. Peart, who has verbally committed to Vanderbilt University, follows last year’s standout, Qualen Cunningham, now a freshman at Texas A&M.

“Qualen and I really have a great relationship and to be able to play in the same all-American game as him is an amazing feeling,” said Peart.

The 4th annual nationally televised Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl that will take place in Carson, Calif., January 4, 2015.For more information about the 2015 Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, visit www.SemperFidelisFootball.com or www.facebook.com/SemperFidelisFootball.
