    NEW YORK - The Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command will co-host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor fallen U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers. Scheduled to speak is-Lt. Gen. Jeffrey W. Talley, commanding general, U.S. Army Reserve Command.

    What: The Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command will co-host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor fallen U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers.

    Who: Scheduled to participate in the event are:
    -Lt. Gen. Jeffrey W. Talley, commanding general, U.S. Army Reserve Command
    -Maj. Gen. Margaret W. Boor, commanding general, 99th Regional Support Command

    When: Saturday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m.

    Where: 200 Duane Road, Fort Totten, Flushing, New York 11359

    Background: Please join us in recognizing and honoring fallen U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers in a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, Saturday, Sept. 13 at Fort Totten, New York. More than 250 guests are expected to attend, to include approximately 30 family members of fallen Soldiers.

    The ceremony will include a performance by the 319th Army Band, wreath laying, keynote speech by Chief of the Army Reserve Lt. Gen. Jeffrey W. Talley, and posting and retirement of the colors by honor guard.

    Six Warrior-Citizens who lived and served in New York will be highlighted during the event. Five were New York City firefighters – Sgt. Shawn Powell, Staff Sgt. Frederick Ill, Warrant Officer Ronald Bucca, Capt. Mark Whitford and Capt. Michael Mullan. The sixth was Lt. Col. William Pohlmann, who worked as an attorney on the 91st floor of Tower Two.

    Media organizations are invited to attend. Journalists must have a valid driver’s license and media ID. Please RSVP no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, to ensure access to base. For additional information, contact the 99th Regional Support Command Public Affairs Office at 732-773-3026.
