STRATTON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.Y. - The New York Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing is once again conducting missions in Greenland in support of National Science Foundation Arctic research efforts.
The wing – which operates the only ski-equipped aircraft in the U.S. military – began flying Greenland missions in April and will be conducting flights through the end of August.
Members of the media are invited to visit the wing on today at 1 p.m. to discuss operations with members of the 109th Airlift Wing Greenland Operations Section.
