Cav troops return to Fort Hood

3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division

FORT HOOD, Texas – The last group of Soldiers assigned to the 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division returned from a nine-month deployment to Egypt May 24 at Fort Hood, Texas.

The regiment returned from the southern end of the Sinai Peninsula while assigned to the Multinational Force and Observers peacekeeping force where they controlled checkpoints and observation posts between Egypt and Israel and report any violations of the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty.
