ANAHEIM, Calif. – Capt. Hai Pham, 650th Regional Support Group HHC commander, Las Vegas, Nev., was honored during an Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club game, during a time out, March 31.
Pham has deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005, where he went on patrols with the 376th Personnel Services Battalion in Tikrit, Iraq. He also deployed to Iraq for Operation New Dawn in 2010, where he served as the officer in charge for a signal intelligence team with the 325th Military Intelligence Battalion in Baghdad, Iraq.
Over the years, Ducks fans have helped create a great tradition of recognizing those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
The Anaheim Ducks are a professional ice hockey team based in Anaheim and are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. Since their inception, the Ducks have played their home games at the Honda Center.
“We honor veterans at every Anaheim Ducks home game,” said Sarah Moews, entertainment & production associate Anaheim Ducks. “On behalf of the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, we would like to thank Hai for his service to our country.”
From Vietnam, Pham enlisted in the Army Reserves as a cook in 1996. He has earned a Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, two Army Achievement Medals and two Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medals.
