News: 'Smurfs 2' screening set for Saturday at Palmer Theater

FORT HOOD, Texas – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service, Fort Hood, and Smurf characters are inviting military children of all ages to a special screening of "The Smurfs 2" at 2 p.m. Dec. 14 at Palmer Theater.

Smurfette and Clumsy Smurf will be on hand to greet soldiers and family members at the Palmer Theater starting at 12:25 p.m.

Both Smurf characters will assist in conducting a free drawing at 1:30 p.m. to give away dozens of free Christmas trees to Fort Hood military families.

Smurfette and Clumsy Smurf will also greet military families at the post Christmas tree lot from 4-5 p.m.

Media interested in covering the "Smurf" event must register here: The gate time for the event is 12 p.m. Media should report to the south-side parking lot of the visitor's center.
