FORT WORTH, Texas - Educating, enriching and empowering those who support the defenders of our great nation, the 8th Marine Corps District is hosting the next District Spouses Orientation Course, or DSOC, September 18-21.
More than 40 Marine spouses from throughout the district will learn about the demanding life of Marines on recruiting duty, be given resources to promote a successful recruiting tour and build camaraderie among other spouses. The DSOC introduces family members to the business of recruiting and helps them adapt to unique challenges encountered while on recruiting duty.
Briefs will include family advocacy, Recruiting 101, stress management, relationship building and motivational guest speakers.
The 8th Marine Corps District encompasses approximately 900,000 square miles stretching across 10 states.
