    CHILI, N.Y. - The Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command is scheduled to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 13 at 1:30 p.m. for the new Army Reserve Center located at 49 Jetview Drive in Chili, N.Y.

    Scheduled to speak during the event are:
    - Brig. Gen. Dwayne Edwards, deputy commanding general of the 99th RSC
    - Mr. Stefan Fleming, regional representative for N.Y. Governor Andrew Cuomo
    - Mr. John Pellito, community liaison for U.S. Congresswoman Louise Slaughter
    - Honorable Maggie Brooks, Monroe County executive
    - Lt. Col. Carl Link, commander of the Army Reserve’s 413th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion.

    The event will also feature the activation of the Army Reserve’s 490th Quartermaster Battalion, a new unit that will inhabit the Chili Army Reserve Center along with the 198th Army Band.

    This brand-new, $13.3 million complex will be the home to nearly 200 Army Reserve Soldiers who will use this state-of-the-art facility to ensure that the Army Reserve continues to provide trained and ready troops to the nation.

    The complex consists of a 35,265-square-foot training center and 9,016-square-foot organizational maintenance shop. The complex is certified LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver, meeting the federal LEED requirement.

    This project is part of the Grow the Army program, which supports the Army's goal to sustain force readiness, match Army force capabilities with mission requirements, and preserve Soldier and family quality of life.
