KAPISA PROVINCE, Afghanistan - Troopers from the Kapisa Provincial Response Company (PRC) have arrested known insurgent facilitator and financier, Najibullah Rahimi, who is also the seated Central Tagab representative to the Kapisa Provincial Council.
Additionally, another person of interest was detained and taken to the OCC-P (Operational Control Center-Province) for questioning.
Tactical Site Exploitation of Rahimi’s two residential compounds revealed nine AK-47s, five grenades, and ten grenade fuses, as well, one classified map and $50,000 in sequentially serial-numbered $100 bills of U.S. currency, along with numerous personal electronic devices to include cell phones and computers.
PRC Kapisa worked closely in coordination with a Ministry of Interior Counter Terror (MOI CT) team during this call-out, as well as the clearing of the compounds, tactical site exploitation, and tactical questioning to ensure all procedures were conducted properly and in accordance with Afghan Rule-of-Law.
“The PRC handled themselves well and accomplished the mission,” said Capt. Flinton, U.S. Army, a mentor to PRC Kapisa.
The troopers of PRC Kapisa and the U.S. Special Forces soldiers of TU Kapisa have been working together daily and improving their abilities to enhance security for the Afghan people for many months and they will continue to do so to achieve their goal together.
